Does the rubber not pull off? If not wonder if it would be possible to source the different pedal arm and swap that over?

swapping the pedal arm probably wont work looking at the pictures
you would have to cut the pedal to fit
or buy an after market one for the accelerator

I was going to say the pedal could be trimmed to fit the cover.

Here in Norway it has the same shape, reckon all left hand drive has the same shape
