Hi all,

I'm new to the Astra scene, had a Corsa C for my first car and was a cracking little car for what it was!
Had a few random cars between then and now, Jaguars, Range Rovers, a few bangers recently -_- and now picked up a 2014 Astra J, 1.6 Design petrol model!

Haven't picked it up yet but will get a few pictures once I get it, pretty standard apart from front and rear parking sensors which I believe were optional for the year, pretty chuffed with that though!

I'm not a stranger to retrofits, I've retrofitted Bluetooth into the x type Jag I had, a heated front window into a Transit, cruise control into a Combo van and the later ACC sensor on a Mk7 Golf that hadn't been done before! ... I do have an opcom I've had for around 9 years now but not sure if it's working... think I blew it earlier this year sorting a mates VXR!

Hope I can help some people and pick up some advice on here... I will probably be looking to at the minimum add Bluetooth, as the CD400 standard model is fitted and after a bit of browsing Bournemouth is only an hour away from me Rusty!!

Cheers!

Hello and welcome.
you're right there are lots of great upgrades you can do but a lot do need the car to be programmed to work
retrofitted = DAB+, GM dog guard, GM reversing camera

Thanks Rusty, have just sent you a PM regarding the bluetooth!

Got the car OK, surprised how basic parts are but overall can't complain!

That's good news.

Yes some bits are basic I remember when I picked up totally different from the car I test drove my buttons in it I spent hours after getting home just playing seeing what each button did.
