Hey mate, no you can unplug the factory connector from the USB and then plug in the blue connector pictured above. The extra USB with grey cable can be used elsewhere.

Hello, Astra is good. The battery died 2 weeks ago and got a new one. Vauxhall wanted £176 but I got a Yuasa one for £107. Better ah and cca to!

Nothing planned for a little while as I need to get some debts paid off and get my money sorted! Ideally I'd like to got for front splitter next as I have the side skirts! Maybe exhaust, I'm so undecided lol.

Few little things I've purchased to help me when working on the car!

First up I've finally purchased a trolley jack and axle stands. Never owned these before
[Image: fb75ac36e53f793edc63d10b36f71b37.jpg]

Then I purchased this awesome book!

Since I have this next week off I'm going to try and sort out my brake squeal, clean wheels thoroughly, then follow the how to to clean egr valve, throttle body and boost sensor. Car isn't playing up but thought I may as well give it once over.

And I may have new alloys shortly too

Now I need to source some spare needles to have a go at painting green and then find someone local to do my speedo for me! This is how it should look once finished.

Nothing much happening recently except maintenance, I had two Uniroyal Rain Sport 3s put on and absolutely love them, very good grip in dry and wet conditions.

I had my timing belt, pulleys, tensioners, water pump and whatever else is included replaced today for piece of mind as the car is now at around 67,000 miles and will be 6 years old in March. Strangely the clutch pedal and gear changes feel smoother now, I don't know if that is meant to happen or what but I'm very happy with outcome.

It's odd... It could actually be that my car came from factory with led DRLs and I swapped to halogen ones and have now installed led bulbs... So it might be that my car is programmed to deal with the power load from the led bulbs
