I read the how to for fitting a grill to astra j. What about fitting one, particularly the steinmentz grill to a gtc with afl? how easy is the process of removing the front bumper? this aftermarket grills are installed with glue(i have a steinmetz pdf with fitting instructions but it is in German). How can you remove it later if you want? Will the glue cause any damage to the bumper? I can upload the pdf if anyone wants it.

Yes i havent seen anything on the Web. I thing it's the best looking grill. Maybe it's too expensive. How easily the front bumper can be removed? I read the how to but i wonder if it's more difficult for a gtc with afl. (more connectors, washers for the afl)

No mate pretty much the same as the 5 door.
Having AFL makes no difference as the bumper has to come off before the headlights anyway. Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S

if they are anything like the irmscher ones that have to be bonded in place
and a hole cut in the original mounting plate around the old grill i have not seen one fitted over here in the uk as yet but i few have sent the irmscher ones back as they did not want to cut the lugs off the front bumper once it's fitted it is staying there forever but not to sure about the steinmetz one got any pics of it out the car

yep its the same as the irmscher one cut out and bond it back in
still it looks very good the only problem is that when it is fitted it will have to stay in the bumper you wont be able to take it back out
if i find another original grill, will i be able to fit it again in case i want to(although the aftermarket grill is a lot better)? thank's a lot for the help.

You would have fun removing all the sealant.

And the lugs that hold the original grill in place will have to be removed so there is no going back look I had the cheaper debaged one in black and the fit is as factory there very good

There is a fell on the Facebook page who has the steinmetz on his 5 door J. Can't remember who though.
