The wife's alloys
#1
Well just thought I'd show you how I'm getting on with my first alloy refurb.

The wheel started like this (it's the worst one)

After sanding & using alloy putty to fix any damage got me to this after a nice soppy wash.

Then some etch primer, primer & a coat of filler primer has got me to this.

Now just letting it cure before a light rub down and one more coat of primer.
As its cold I've brought it inside.

I did keep the wheel inside overnight to get it to room temp.

So after a rub down and another coat primer I allowed the wheel to dry and then flatted off

Then I applied the top coat.

Just letting it dry for 24hours before a clear coat.

A few little defects in it but over all I'm impressed with the result so far as is the wife.

Just can't make my mind up weather I should do a silver face or not.
