preface fogs front on

Front Fogs on preface
#1
Hi all

im going to be retrofitting front fogs to my SE bypassing the BCM and wiring them in myself
but i have the switch unit out of an sri that has the front and rear buttons
as im trying to keep it as standard as poss i would like to know if anyone has a pin out of the switch unit
or knows which pin in the load signal pin to go to the relay
i have included a quick diagram on how i am going to run the fogs
so one you know what im talking about and two if anyone else wants to try it so you dont need to get a VCI code
as i believe with the switch unit and op-com you can turn on the IPC light so that will come on like normal when you turn the front fogs on and off

thanks dsknectd

There is not a wire purely for the fogs on headlight switch, it's done by the canbus and resistors on the board which the BCM then sends out to the needed modules.

You certainty can't turn the front fog light on in the IPC with op-com & your bypassing the BCM which sends the message to the IPC to turn it on.

My advise would be to have it coded it in properly if you want to work and look OEM

You should get a VCI easy it's a supported retrofit.

Have you got the fuse in the engine bay fuse board for front fogs?
