Hi all, I'm looking at getting some new breaks, pads and calipers. Mainly because I've got to get new discs and pads anyhow and I might as well go the whole hog. Also because I've just gotten the car 7 weeks back and will get a few year out of it, so the sooner I do it the more use ill have out of it. anyway...
I want to know if anyone can recommend a particular website which will give me the best value for money.
Also if anyone has any recommendations of what i should buy. Its an 59 Astra J (obviously) 1.6 N/A and 19 inch wheels.
A point in the right direction would be a great help. Thank you
Cheers
Nathan

Why change callipers unless there is something wrong.
You only have a 1.6N/A which isn't a real rocket ship.
Disc and pad wise I would say EBC dimpled and groved with yellow or red stuff pads.

Yes you would but TBH I don't see the point of adding bigger discs and calipers there will most likely be other parts that would need changing etc.

Just roughly measured them and the rear is about 240mm and front 270mm...is this standard?

You may find hubs might need changing.
There is a thread in the mechanical section that has the sizes but it sounds about right.
