Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
Starting this thread in advance of making any changes to the car to show what it's like as it stands before I do anything to it.
I have a collection on ebay with the items I want to get for the car so just going to work through that as and when I can, at the minute it includes-
K&N panel filter
Number plate lights
Tinited side repeaters
Heko wind deflectors
But I want to change or wrap the wheels, possibly lower it, get a remap, pedal box, hid's and I'm sure il think of more things I want to do.
My first modification however is going to be getting the back windows and the back lights tinted which is booked in for 10am Monday so I will update you all then once that is done!
So here it is in all its tinted glory looks amazing I'm so happy with the results - full back window tints, front and rear lights tinted also.
Tomorrow I will receive the heko wind deflectors so will update when they are put on and have also ordered tinted side repeaters which will drop in sometime this week!

No names on mine (thank god) but it was only a little one man one car at a time type place not a big business next on my list is the roof and maybe the mirrors but he charges £25 a go for the mirrors maybe ebay might have cheaper black ones to just change them over rather than getting them wrapped ( never mind just looked then its cheaper to get them wrapped haha )

Yeah I like the white Js with the black roof and mirrors but I decided against it for mine! Here's where I'm up to with mine!

Nice I like the calipers! Mud flaps are on my list they look better than it does stock and stop all the shite flying up your car so winner winner and I need new rims I'm not a fan of the ones I have they too small I'd like yours but wrapped black think they would look mint

Green my favourite too I'd have the led's but the whole idea of wiring just scares me because I'm like a chuckle brother when it comes to anything to do with fixing cars haha and I don't know you know not looked I'm going to check tyre pressures now anyway so il have a look in the light they just seem to small with the gaps between car and tyre

@Rusty2009 does the smd conversions and all you need to do is replace the parts, no messing with wires really. Footwell lights you'll need to splice into and wire yourself though lol

It's not that bad, I had never done it before I done it on car. Just practice with a few bits of wire first mate.

I will give it a go one day was trying to find a decent green or colour changing board last night but couldn't see any (because I didn't know what I was looking at)
See I was looking at the cigarette lighter method because I wouldnt want them on all the time they would probably do my head in thanks @Nemo ! I have just been speaking to the insurance about my window and headlight tints along with possibly getting the roof and mirrors tinted, they said its a complete no go for wrapping the roof and mirrors then when I wanted a price for the tints they wanted my policy details but I didnt want to give it to them for the simple fact of me asking questions about it means Im thinking of doing it so if they have my details they send someone round to see if I have had it done and they see its done then my insurance is nulled, so I'm no further forward with it just know I cant do modifications but ahh well its the cheapest quote I have had cant afford any more xD
Haha, well the remote has an off button! I connected them up to my headlight switch so they came on at night.
I could change colour, dim them, brighten them, have them flash or turn them off aha

Going to invest in these I think, they say they can be put either under or in the grill of the car, is the cable long enough to do this or are they just best left internal
(29:th-Nov-2016, 14:21:47)Nemo Wrote: The cable is fairly long, but you can always extend them yourself.
I only used them for internal display, stuffed all the cable under the centre console

Ahh right brilliant I might just see If i can stretch to the grill if not il just leave internal, just thinking of car meets spices my car up a little more because I cant rev like everyone else can due to having a diesel

Lovely car ! Loving the wheels very jealous haha just ordered the lights and a 3 socket 12v cig lighter adapter also so I can finally set up my dash camera, phone charger and now these lights
Heko wind deflectors have arrived will be fitting the front today then back ones Saturday due to the back window tints needing 5 days to set before opening windows
I would definitely de-wiper it, lower it slightly, colour code the chrome on the front grill black or white, rdx boot spoiler, 19" alloys... a bit of inspiration... http://s89.photobucket.com/user/murkee27...9.jpg.html

Yea man that's the dream right there it will look like that eventually haha just funding slowing me down at the minute
Same boat mate, if my other half would just let me do what I want instead of putting the kids first (lol) I would already have a M072 head unit, leather seats, lowered, 19" 5 Y Spoke bicolour alloys, projector headlights. On a plus note I have the eibach springs in my shed.

I have no other half so just me trying to pay for things
Well I have had a busy weekend in the lighting department as having my lights flyeyed made the headlights useless so these were replaced although it's not the best picture it gives something to compare to when you see my drls
Then Sunday morning I replaced the drls
I also replaced all the interior lights for led's which look a lot better than before
Have another few plans for this week just waiting on stuff coming in!
