The goodbye thread

Morning,

Well after 4 years 8 months of ownership and travelling 129,950 miles in her I said goodbye to my beloved Astra GTC:




It was an emotional farewell particularly because I sold it to webuyanycar.com - the condition and mileage just would mean it would be worth nothing and the cash value offered was actually fairly reasonable.

Anyway I know what you're all thinking - what am I going to get next, well I already have it and I'll let the photo do the talking but needless to say I've never enjoyed driving a car so much as I do my new one:



I will still pop on time and again, but truth be told I've not been active on forums for a while now as life is taking over.

You've been a great bunch specifically Tucpal and Rusty; all the best for the future.

I'm glad your liking the new car (even tho it's not my cuppa tea), be good to see any mods you do to it.

Cheers Rusty... I did love the Astra but my next service and MOT was scaring me as I know it needs a lot of work!!

I do so little driving now I was looking for a fun machine, I just couldn't take my eye off an Abarth and after the test drive couldn't help but buy it.

Ah shame you've let the Astra go, but glad you like the Abarth, too small a car for me!
