A little story - a laught at my expense

I got the finance paper work through for Doris a while ago , didn't really pay much attention to it as all I was interested in was the monthly payment being inside my budget - Mistake N01
Doris was up for 10,495 but reduced on a "Managers Special" to 8,495 - Mistake N02

I put down an 850 deposit which would leave 7,645 to pay under finance for 4 years leaving a 1,760 outstanding balance

So on checking the paperwork - Mistake N03

Value of Car -             7,645
plus VAT -                  1,664
plus adjustment -        1250
Admin cost -                 600

Total cost -               11,159
Outstanding balance -  5,255 (after 4 years)

I'm not surprised by those figures to be honest. The only thing which has be curious is 'adjustment'. What's that all about?

I would be curious on the VAT also as its not a commercial vehicle and the Admin fee did that include you buying them a computer to do the admin? also the adjust as that's utter rubbish.

I have asked for clarification and a breakdown on how the achieved the figures, VAT certainly should not have been charged and as to the "adjustment" I will just have to wait and see, failing that a call to trading standards will be on the cards.

Did you also as them for the laptop you bought with that admin fee?

My admin fee was on £30 for my Cosra then again £30 for the Astra I traded it in for.
