I didn't notice any problem when installing the pipercross filter, but I don't have any experience with the k&n filter so I can't compare..
And the air filter box is the box on the left side in the engine bay

I opted for the pipercross because it was in discount at that moment. And also because I'm considering a remap in the future, and the place a want to get the remap done also uses pipercross filters

I got mine from:
http://www.gmb-tuning.nl/index.php?item=...19&lang=nl
This was the cheapest at that time, even cheaper than anything I could find on ebay. But it is a company in the Netherlands so shipping costs to Belgium weren't that high, don't know how they are for the UK.

Took a look in the back of the car today to see what I would need to retro fit TPMS. It seems the pins and the wires are there like said in the how-to.
Is it correct that I would only need the loom and module then?

I was looking into getting the parts numbers needed to retrofit the centre console with armrest and normal handbrake since I don't seem to have any luck finding it on ebay.
So I found this site and have been using it to browse for part numbers:
http://www.clubopel.com/link.php?url=htt...start%3D20
Already found that I would need the centre console with part number 13367487.
But it looks like the rear trim for the console is not included with the centre console, if I'm correct that would be part number 13306504.
But am I correct assuming I would also need the rear trim for the console and order it seperately?

Hey Mate,
I was looking at doing the same thing (mainly out of boredom) but if you decide it's not possible, too expensive etc. You should check out this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Armrest-for-OP...Swq7JUI-Uf
I picked one up a few years back and it's awesome! It simply screws into the rear little pocket thing and provides you with a compartment, sliding arm rest etc. if you go on their site you can choose the material, colour, even the sticking colour! it's rock solid too and looks the part

I did see that one when looking on ebay, it looked like the best aftermarket armrest to me.
Nice to know that you liked it and I will definitely keep it in my mind as an alternative
But I would prefer to retrofit an original one, that is why I am still hunting to find the right parts.
That way I can compare the costs of both options

Good luck anyway! Sure you can source the parts, just when I priced it up it was coming to a few hundred at least so I thought sack it haha

You I think I have the correct part numbers, I'm only not sure if the rear trim is included with the console.
Also ordered leds to do the footwell lights. So I was thinking I could do those 2 jobs at the same time then

Also not sure if the handbrake gaitor is included when I look at it now...
It will have a different size then the current one so I will also need a new one I suppose, but I can't seem to find the part number :(
Can anyone help me find/check the part numbers needed?
Console - 13367487 ?
Rear trim - 13306504 ?
Hand brake gaitor - ???
PS: Keep in mind my car is LHD

13412819 CONSOLE, FRONT TUNNEL, LHD, WITH LEATHER ARMREST, BLACK (FOR MANUAL PARK BRAKE)
I found the partnumber for the cloth armrest thanks to the partnumber you provided
I've looked for the prices online and find this:
13369481 BOOT, HANDBRAKE LEVER, LHD (FOR CENTRE CONSOLE ARMREST, POC DBU)
29.17 €
Center console backing No 12v or tray
13394856 COVER, REAR, FRONT TUNNEL CONSOLE, BLACK (FOR CENTRE CONSOLE ARMREST, POC DBU)
209.86 €
Center console backing with 12v and tray
13306504 COVER, REAR, FRONT TUNNEL CONSOLE, BLACK (FOR CENTRE CONSOLE ARMREST, POC DBU)
35.81 €
13412817 CONSOLE, FRONT TUNNEL, LHD, WITH CLOTH ARMREST, BLACK (FOR MANUAL PARK BRAKE)
302.33 €
I do think there is something odd with the prices for the console backings though, as the one with 12v and tray is like 6 times cheaper...

Yeah I know I will have to keep looking. But it was getting a bit frustrating as I have never seen one on ebay in over 2 years..
It was something that I was thinking about adding before. But I drove the Passat from my girlfriends parents a couple weeks back and it had a armrest. And since that drive I knew I had to have one for my Astra for sure

I've finally found a centre console!
Found it after sending countless mails to breakers around the country. They will keep it aside for me so I can pick it up next week. Found it for 120€ so I didn't think twice, as a new one would have cost me over 350€...
I was looking for one with the cloth armrest but this one has the leather armrest. Might swap it over later, or I might have a go at convincing my girlfriend to go for a full leather interior

I would like a full leather interior, but as we are saving to buy a house it might be difficult to convince her...
Also my leds for the footwell lights arrived today so will try and install everything together at once

Picked up the console with armrest today. It also came with the ambient lights around the gear stick so I now have a spare one with no extra cost
Hopefully I have some time later this week to install it. I will post some pictures then.

Installed the console with armrest today without any problems. I really like it, it is very comfortable and makes the inside of the car look better in my opinion.

Looks awesome dude! Makes a big difference on long trips. Did you not have issues getting the old one off? I had to snap mine to get it off as there was like a plastic bar which was in place to stop the console lifting over the handbrake...

It was a bit hard getting the old one off indeed. But I pulled the handbrake up as far as possible and then I had just enough room to get that bar over the handbrake.

Hmmmm very odd! I spent about an hour trying to get mine off and there was no way it was gonna slide over the top of the handbrake without snapping it like i did...well glad ya sorted it anyway mate liking it?

I was actually surprised how far I could pull the handbrake up, I think it was almost vertical at some point
Only took a small drive today with the armrest in, but I'm really liking it already.

Had to do a little bit of maintenance today. I had to replace a broken brake light and put on new windscreen wipers.

Was it the bulb that was broke or just the brake light itself?

Done a little bit of work on the car today.
First a small repair. I had to put new bulbs in my headlights, as one was broken.
Then I could start on the wiring for my dashcam and footwell lights. I decided to run 2 extension USB cables to the top of the windscreen. One for the dashcam and the other the power my gps, as I like to hang it next to my rear view mirror. Because I was routing the wire for the dashcam I put the wire for the footwell lights in at the same time. Currently I only have the driver side footwell lights in, the rest will probably follow next week.
Will update the post with pictures later.

I went for red footwell lights to go with the red door leds and gear stick lighting. I am trying to stick with a grey and black colored theme with red accents.

As promised a first picture of the footwell lights. Added the passenger and rear lights yesterday and still need to take pictures.

Nice one mate! Look good! Good idea to stick with red to keep it the same as the rest of the car
Where did you tap into for the power for them?
