Oh my God! They managed to go backwards! At least we got a glove box light in ours even if it is rubbish too!
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
14:th-Feb-2016, 21:07:48
Probably how they've managed to shed upto 200kgs in weight.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
14:th-Feb-2016, 21:49:43
Haha take it they carried on the tradition of no space saver tyre then in the boot?
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
14:th-Feb-2016, 21:52:54
Daft question, is the standard boot light same as glovebox? I seem to think it's not but just wondering how boot lights turn on off? Just wouldn't want led ones on all time
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ![]()
14:th-Feb-2016, 21:54:15
What ya mean mate? The actual bulb holder isn't the same as the glove box one no...
Also not sure how they turn on and off but once the boot is closed the lights go off right away... Not sure why you think they wouldn't? Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
14:th-Feb-2016, 21:58:22
Just something that crossed my mind as I've never looked and know that glovebox one has a button that presses in when glovebox is closed.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ![]()
14:th-Feb-2016, 21:59:45
Oh okay... Guessing it's something to do with the actual boot catch itself... Maybe when it's pressed in (when the boot is closed) it sends a signal to turn the lights off? Only way it could work really
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
14:th-Feb-2016, 22:01:27
Yeah true, I'll be doing this shortly too! Also guessing no errors?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ![]()

Good stuff! You'll be impressed with bow bright they are! And nope no errors as they're not on the Canbus and also no flickering or anything like that

Awesome thanks, I'll be gutted losing them from license plate but be worth the reverse camera when I eventually get it!

The only reason I ask is my glove box light has never turned off when I close the door. There isn't a mechanism on the top of my glove box either so I've always been baffled as to how it works lol Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk (14:th-Feb-2016, 20:52:51)sheppy1 Wrote: Bout time she did something! anyway... What the hell! There should be! When you open the glove box it let's the button pop out which turns the light on.. When you clove the box it should press the little button in which turns it off... So you're doesn't have it at all? Just a hole where one should be or has it got stuck or something?
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
14:th-Feb-2016, 22:28:29
Yeah as Sheppy said mate. There will be a hole at top and should have a piece of plastic sticking out that pushes in and out to turn on and off

I'm not a fan of the white footwell. I've got red in all of mine but going to go green eventually
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ![]()
15:th-Feb-2016, 12:11:43
Really??? I love it...looks clean and effective too for what they're meant to do...illuminate the footwells so you can see things! Ha.
But...each to their own ![]()
15:th-Feb-2016, 12:13:38
I ran mine from front footwell light, under carpet and there's holes under seat where you can bring wire back out, this is under front seat.

15:th-Feb-2016, 12:21:04
Oh so you've done the rear ones too?! I would do that but would rather have a fresh wire for the rear ones... I'll probably go via the roof lining and down the centre pillar into the hollow floor and then up through that hole as you've done so again.. How does it work with the seat going back and forth... You're either gonna have to have loads of slack wire or something else... Not sure how you've done it

15:th-Feb-2016, 12:28:16
Seat doesn't affect it but bloody kids kicking them can get annoying lol.

15:th-Feb-2016, 12:29:35
Hahaha well in okay in that department will have to buy some more leds then and give it a go! Assuming the plastic black cover down the centre pillar to the floor just snaps off?
Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
15:th-Feb-2016, 12:29:54
Haha as @Rusty2009 says seat doesn't affect it as it isn't attached to seat at all, I've used double sided tape and stuck it to carpet! There's a bump which lets you face the led backwards.

15:th-Feb-2016, 18:51:24
Right chaps...question here regarding Oil...Now VX flushed all the oil and put fresh stuff in only 3 months ago (done probably around 5k miles since then). But the oil life indicator which is nigh on useless to begin with is saying the health is at 13%...I don't know whether it really is that low already or if VX forgot to reset the calculator thing...
So is there any proper way for me to check if it needs changing? That's the issue with that oil life calculator...it doesn't actually check anything....it just estimates based on how long it's been in there and how much you're driving so if someone doesn't reset it then it's gonna show incorrect readings!

It's quite easy to do ![]() @Tonto there's green for you mate ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That looks awesome! And yeah I know what you mean now! I could even splice into the existing wire which I have running through the console which gives the driver side footwell lights power... Sweet! Ta
