Oil purge

So my Astras booked in on Thursday to have its service and like last year they offered to do the oil and fuel purge for £18, anyone had this done and is it worth it? Doubt I'd be able to tell if it's been done?

Lady said its recommended each year (of course they do!!) and after they've drained oil out they flush system through so the new oil is going into a nearly new engine. Same with the fuel.

i have had an oil clean before but i am sure with the fuel clean they just add a cleaner to the fuel

Is that not what ed china advertises on telly? Terra clean or somthing like that.

sure they just use a fuel cleaner additive when they did my car
i would ask

Terra clean is totally different and cost alot more than the can of additive they chuck in the tank.
