Hi all.
I have an Astra J fitted with a cd400 head unit. There is an Aux button on the console, probably fitted as standard, is there an Aux socket at thexrear of the head unit? I was wondering if anyvof you know, save me pulling the unit out for nowt!

Oh well, don't have one of them either. Above the cigar lighter is a blank on the right where the usb port would've been and nothing the other side.
Thanks for the reply. I may have to buy new head unit then, but, so I've been told, with the loss of a few controls because will be double unit.

Or get the M072 head unit from icebox auto and it replaced your current orange screen and you keep all your controls

Mine has the standard aux button on the console but not aux input pointand so I was told earlier in this thread there isn't one on the back of the cd400 either. So i wonder if the M072 will work in my astra!

There isn't an aux port at the back of radio but AUX is hard wired into the main radio plug.

So you can reinstate the factory AUX, you may even find the plug behind the dash.

If not give me a shout as I have an Aux port here and could make you make a loom (small fee of course) so you can plug it all in, I may even have the housing for Aux somewhere in a box in the loft.

Finally removed the cd400 console etc, fiddly but not too bad. And found out to the right of my cigar lighter there appears to be a 3.5mm jack socket, the aux in I presume! No help to me really I have nothing to connect to it. It's for an ipod I presume? I have no apple gear, strictly Android me. I will see what adapters are around, unless there's a way to connect a USB socket somewhere.

You should be able to connect any AUX device to it.

You can retrofit a USB I think there is a kit in the for sale section
https://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-USB-Retrofit-kit
It will need a VCI tho.
