So I've got a loud knocking coming from the front right wheel, seems to mainly happen when accelerating, revving stood still is fine. Does it whatever direction of wheels, quite loud, nothing loose that I can see. HELP!

Even though it only happens when accelerating? Sounds pretty metal if you know what I mean, not nice

I'd say pop it in a garage ASAP for a free inspection mate

more of a click on my car
but a knock when pulling off could be a number of things
and as your car is a cat d it needs to be checked over quiseng won't help at all

Took it to the garage (my luck it had stopped making the noise) both cv joints that side were split so hopefully the problem is the joint, got a new one coming from Ireland for £90.

did you get the whole shaft
this does seem to be a common problem on the j
i think the shaft is a bit too long my self
but sure you will get it sorted.

Yeh from gear box to hub, Vauxhall said it is most likely the issue due to the cv boot leak. Wouldn't be covered under warranty as that's where it had its crash, this kinda thing u have to expect with a cat D

Just noticed it doesn't happen when in neutral, not sure if if it's gonna be the drive shaft? Maybe cos it's the shaft it's under power when in neutral?

you would only get a knock or click when in drive it will be a cv joint on the shaft
neutral has no effect on the drive shaft at all
what do you mean under power ?

I mean maybe when it's in neutral it's not putting strain on the joint therefor not knocking?

correct for a minute i thought you were saying it was knocking in neutral never mind
you will have it sorted out soon it probably just had a knock on the wheel when it was banged
