You do notice that is says eighteen terms for a bread 'roll', not cob or bap... so I'll take victory thanks, there's only one original and it's roll

A bacon sarnie is sliced bread, a bun is a small cake containing dried fruit i.e current bun or sweet roll like a hot cross bun. It's like they dropped you lot off a space ship and you just plucked random names out of thin air for various floured products... is this the start of the invasion

Wrong wrong wrong lol,

A sarnie can be either sliced bread or a bun.
A sandwich is sliced bread.
Hot cross bun is a bread bun with raisins in it

OK being the Aberdonian of the site I can tell you that a buttery is not a bread roll we would all it a Bap or a Softy.

A buttery is full of lard and best served in the toaster for 10 seconds with butter all over it.

An the arrow pointing to Aberdeen is no where near us either lol.

Sausage, fried egg, bacon & tinned tomato doused in brown sauce in a French stick for the win.
