Perfect lighting combination - Cameron UK - 17:th-Jul-2014 So I thought I'd share a list of all the lighting upgrades that Im finally happy with. I've tried loads of different drl dimmed lights, numberplate lights and so on. I have had these bulbs in about 6 months now most of them and they are perfect quality. The drls match the dipped beam perfectly white, really bright. Here is my list: Numberplate lights: http://www.lushlightingcity.co.uk/storev2/store.php?page=viewproduct&product=led-number-plate-units-modules-vauxhall-vauxhall-18-led-number-plate-unit-modules-canbus-error-free Dipped beam: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/mtec-h7-12v-100w-cosmos-blue-hid-class-upgrade-bulbs/ Footwell lights http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390817855234?var=660229678601&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Vanity lights: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-36MM-NUMBER-PLATE-INTERIOR-LIGHT-FESTOON-BULB-6-LED-XENON-WHITE-239-272-/291100981276?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43c6f8781c Roof lights: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10x-XENON-PURE-WHITE-5-SMD-LED-SIDELIGHT-INTERIOR-BULB-T10-W5W-501-6000K-UK-/121387312345?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c433f64d9 Glove box and boot: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-25-SMD-LED-XENON-PURE-WHITE-LED-501-T10-W5W-INTERIOR-LIGHT-SIDELIGHT-BULBS-/251481617853?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a8d78f5bd Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 17:th-Jul-2014 The dipped beam looks better than the Phillips I have are you still on the led drl there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Perfect lighting combination - Cameron UK - 17:th-Jul-2014 tucpal Wrote:The dipped beam looks better than the Phillips I have are you still on the led drl there Yeh the ones from lush, it dips down when I put the dipped beam on, Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 12:th-Aug-2014 thanks for the tip camaron the MTEC look really white in the daylight anyway the phillips just looked yellow i will check them out tonight and see how well they match the LED DRL Perfect lighting combination - JJ-Yorks - 12:th-Aug-2014 have you had any issues with the H7 as they are 100watts?? take it they havent caused the headlight wiring to get warm?? or caused the headlight to melt Perfect lighting combination - Cameron UK - 12:th-Aug-2014 JJ-Yorks Wrote:have you had any issues with the H7 as they are 100watts?? take it they havent caused the headlight wiring to get warm?? or caused the headlight to melt no problems what-so-ever, your the guy from yorkshire arnt you? if you want to come see just let me know as im in Morley Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 12:th-Aug-2014 i have been driving around with 60w philips xtreme vision for some time and had no problem i will keep a good eye on them Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 12:th-Aug-2014 Well the night test has been done and a very disappointing fail they do look real good and nice and white in the headlight but the penalty is very poor light output the output is whiter close in but very dim further away they also fail to light up road signs etc and they are no where near as bright as the philips xtreme vision the phillips wins hands down for vision and i do like to see where i am going at night. so the phillips will go back in and i will just put up with the yellow tint Perfect lighting combination - Cameron UK - 12:th-Aug-2014 tucpal Wrote:Well the night test has been done Really!!?!?! Have you tried levelling them differently? Mine light up the road signs very bright!! Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 12:th-Aug-2014 the pic,s speak for themselves the lights are in alignment MTEC COSMOS BLUE 100W PHILIPS XTREME VISION 60W BOTH DIPPED BEAM Perfect lighting combination - Cameron UK - 13:th-Aug-2014 The reason may be: I've gone from standard to mtec, you have gone gone from Phillips to mtec. The standard bulbs arnt that good so I didn't have any problems but you have gone from a bright bulb to mtec so u noticed a huge difference. Now u need to decide, white or bright lol. Sorry that ur not happy :( Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 13:th-Aug-2014 not your problem camaron you have to try these things out to find out i agree 100% they look really look good in the headlight but as you say i am so used to the phillips excellent vision they do remind me of the standard bulb and just got the impression i was driving with no lights on again it is a real shame the phillips dont look as good in the head light but you can not have both i quess Perfect lighting combination - JJ-Yorks - 13:th-Aug-2014 ive got the 50w Mtec's in and they look great but as Tucpal has mentioned they do not put much light on the road....ok for the summer months but think I may give the Osram Nightbreakers Unlimited a go, they do have a blue coating but in the middle there is a clear band (just like a normal bulb without the blue) so should give a good compromise...I hope!! I tried these and they were dreadful lol, very yellow Perfect lighting combination - JJ-Yorks - 15:th-Aug-2014 Cameron UK Wrote:I tried these and they were dreadful lol, very yellow cant win!! Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 15:th-Aug-2014 i have the philips xtreme vision and the osram night breakers both are good on vision but they are not white in the headlight its a no win for sure the only way to get a white light in the headlight is to compromise on vision and i dont think that is the best idea i am still tempted to go for the led and see what happens http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-H7-HI-POWER-12V-24V-NEW-50W-CREE-1512-COB-LED-Head-Light-Head-lamp-KIT-MOT-UK-/261515135191?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3ce38448d7 anyone tryed them ?? Perfect lighting combination - Cameron UK - 15:th-Aug-2014 JJ-Yorks Wrote:cant win!! I think the be all and end all is either have mtec100w and be white and match the led sidelights but not amazing light output or have Phillips and good output but a bit yellow. No one on here has really explored HIDS properly apart from Taz but that was with a gtc. Here is your chance to shine Perfect lighting combination - Cameron UK - 15:th-Aug-2014 tucpal Wrote:i have the philips xtreme vision and the osram night breakers No but they look like they have ballasts like HIDs, try them, mif they work they could be amazing Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 15:th-Aug-2014 my concern is would they be like HID,S and having no projectors would they dazzle oncoming traffic ?? Perfect lighting combination - Cameron UK - 15:th-Aug-2014 tucpal Wrote:my concern is would they be like HID,S Don't know really BUT, when a merc or other expensive car drives towards me with xenons I sometimes think it's either a car with HIDs or a car with full beam on. Perfect lighting combination - Rusty2009 - 16:th-Aug-2014 I find Xenon's lights don't hurt the eyes at night, whereas halogen lights do hurt the eyes. I would rather look at Xenon's than halogens. Would I do find is HIDS in non projector lenses are dam right dangerous to on coming traffic. Perfect lighting combination - tucpal - 16:th-Aug-2014 a few weeks back i had a mk4 astra behind me his lights were blinding it was like he had his hi beam on but i could see the unmistakable blue tint from the dip beam he must have been pulled by now even from behind it was damn annoying hids and no projectors are not advised at all |
