Steering wheel airbag removal - Rusty2009 - 17:th-Jun-2014 Has anyone removed the the airbag / horn from the steering wheel? Had a look on the workshop manual and it says to make a tool to unhook it form the back. I know to disconnect the battery and wait at least 30 minutes. Steering wheel airbag removal - cornishtaz - 17:th-Jun-2014 Its reall easy to do. Invert the steering wheel by 180. You will find it easier the steering wheel towards you. On the rear there are 2 holes with a slot next to them. I used a thin screwdriver in each hole then move them towards outwards to unclip the airbag. Takes about 30 secs to remove. I'll sort some pics later.
