My Progress Thread.

It's a 2.0CDTI 165ps stop/start Elite with front and rear parking sensors.
So here is Sandy (named after my late Mother) a couple of days after getting her with the windows tinted and a sunstrip.

I then changed the interior lights to leds and also added front and rear footwell lights while fitting VXR alloy pedal covers.

I also added an extra light in the boot these are now white leds.

I then Then added the flex floor.

Also added the draw under the passenger seat.

Then I fitted an aftermarket head unit changed the speakers. The after market unit has SAT NAV, Parrot Bluetooth, DVD, SD, FM/AM Radio & USB. I also fitted and Aftermarket Dab and T.V. also fitted rear parking camera.

Then decided to do something (I believe no one else had done up to that point) color code the window trims, I've now changed these to Gloss Black.

I also had a towbar fitted.

I then got a set of GTC 19" Alloy Wheels.

I fitted mudflaps

I then fitted an irmscher rear spoiler

I then added auto fold mirrors on lock and unlock.



I then fitted side repeaters in the mirrors with the help Cornishtaz.





I then retrofitted TPMS

Bit of a bugger to do I did add this into the light section http://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-High-mount-brake-lamp

I found the metal clips that hold it are in fact on the bottom (I broke some at the top so ordered a new light) So I have no plans to remove it again just in case @ £36 it's not worth me trying again.

When I did mine I removed the tailgate trim to make it easier to get to the clips

I did that in the end used a trim tool to lever it out but I'd busted the top clips by then and it wouldn't hold in at the top.

i took this out i while back and found there is no access in the back to get to the clips
i too priced it out and broke it also and it was £25 to replace
i would not recommend taking it out at all

Here is the latest mod to be done plastidip and clear coated front lower grill and fog surrounds, I also lightly tinted the fog and indicators.

I think it's suttle enough to blend in but stand out was hoping it would be more grey (Like Tucpal's wheels) but I like it.

Hydro dipping was a thought but nothing I wanted all too crazy designs unless you want Carbon and I'm not a fan of carbon.

Switches are the same as Rusty has my old set of blue switches from the VXR. Swapping is easy remove battery terminal then airbag switch connections and torx bolt

i remember someone doing this on the 5 door and i am sure the cruise control had a speed speed limiter on it
and the 5 door did not but maybe i am wrong

You can swap switches like for like mate I have cruise and speed limiter, When Baz swapped Lewis's wheel over he tried the switch with speed limiter on it but it wouldn't work So as long as they are like for like its fine.

And there are so many different switch options lol.

I finally got round to changing the crappy bulbs in the vanity mirrors (Not sure why as I never look in the mirror in case I brake it Lol)

Thanks mate I found the blue very weak on the steering wheel controls hence the Green, I was planning on a total mixture i.e Phone pick up Green Hang up Red etc but there was way too much colour bleed I even tried filling the gaps to block it.

@ £206 for the wheel it won't be left on the car if I ever sell it.

Right a Small update I ordered some LED bulbs for the fog lights and Corner lights (the Fog one's arrived today but are slightly bigger in diameter than the hole) so I put them in my Corner lights (High beam on halogen) instead.

Right a couple of small changes to the car.

The sun visors have been changed to black ones (from the GTC range)

The center roof console and lights have been changed to black (again from the GTC range)

Also the grab handles and sun glasses holder has been changed to black (front from the GTC range rear from the Insignia)

Thursday I changed the LED'S from red to blue for the up-level display.
