Uneven idle and hunting on initial start up - Jpbroad1970 - 20:th-Aug-2021

Hi

I'm posting this video incase anyone can help. I'm at my whitsend with this car 2011 cdti manual A20DTH. Argh well can't upload video, but when I start the car from cold any time of day or outside temperature it  hunts like a misfire, once it's warm it's as smooth as anything, there is also a faint whiff of diesel, like unburned, sweetish smell when it first starts.

Any ideas?

I have some ideas just want to know if the match any others.

I have cleaned throttle body, egr, new map sensor and a new intercooler pipe that was split.

No power loss no fault codes on opcom or MDI on gds2

I have not the slightest clue what it could be but i have a 2011 astra Gtc 2.0 cdti and that does the same thing especially if it's cold

Horrible noise - Jpbroad1970 - 24:th-Aug-2021

So bit if a follow up, colder morning this morning....started ok no hunting at idle or diesel smell.

Yesterday I did injector leak test, as you can see in the pic they are pretty even. I did this as I did some injector balance readings which were -.3, -.9,-.7 and 1.9. I thought they should all be the same or close but apparently not, they were at tickover, at 3000 rpm they all went to 0.

I also did a fuel rail pressure sensor recording , as you can see in other pic actual and desired are pretty close.

So I now only have suction control valve on high pressure pump or pressure sensor on the rail.

Or all my injectors are bad. But haven't got any figures to base the leak test on. Was about 3 minutes in total at idle and with revs.

Pulling my getting greyer by the minute hair out.

One thing I've got in the back of my mind is as the weather turns colder the glow plugs are on longer for initial heat up ... May aid burning of any excess fuel. I understand they work in the background to aid fuel efficiency until engine is warm.

Sorry for ramble but still looking for ideas that I may not have thought of.
