P0171 error and ESC light on - Rymaan82 - 1:st-Aug-2021

Hi All,

Been a long time since I've been on here . But looking for some advice if possible.

Cut a long story short about a month ago I had performance issues with my Astra J 1.6 2010 with it having dead spots in acceleration and occasionally cutting out when idle. Hooked it up to an simple OBD reader and errors all pointing to a faulty O2 sensor bank 1. So I purchased a replacement from euro car spares (no Bosch in stock at the time but the next one that was recommended was a FAE branded o2 sensor) Didnt get round to fitting it then as the old sensor was pretty much seized and wouldnt budge. Anyway only got round to getting the sensor fitted this week, car seems to running better however its now showing P0171 bank 1 too lean error, the ESP light has also come on saying it needs a service and now today the power steering light randomly flashing on and off. Ive checked the filter for obstructions and filter hose for any cracks, the pcv valve in the rocker casing doesnt seem to be sucking air in via the small hole but the oil cap can feel a little resistant in suction as well as the dip stick. Do I have an air leak somewhere maybe the manifold? OrĀ is this a case of the sensor messing up the ECU and isnt playing nice? Really dont want to be going in and out of the garage and changing different parts if I can help it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
