Instrument cluster - Fadii13 - 28:th-Jun-2020 Hello everyone, I have an Opel Astra J 2.0 cdti automatic and since I bought it (2 years ago) I’m having an issue with the instrument cluster. Actually it doesn’t show all the menus and never shows me messages when there’s a problem with the car, I tried to reprogram with op-com but I can’t access to it (I don’t know why) and I took it to Opel France and they told me you need to change the instrument cluster without any explanation. So I decide to change it and I bought a used instrument cluster with almost the same number of kilometres and the same part number (13336484) and it works great and I reprogrammed it using I’m-com and now it shows all the menus I wanted to see. But the issue is that it doesn’t show the mileage, it shows this ( - - - - - - ) instead of the mileage. Om-com is showing me there’s a problem with the immobilizer identifier. I searched so much to find a solution but I couldn’t find anything. The pic with the yellow screws is the used instrument cluster I bought and the other one is the original. So could you please help me ? Cheers RE: Instrument cluster - Jpbroad1970 - 28:th-Jun-2020 Your IPC needs programming to your car. I'm pretty sure you can't do that with opcom. It needs your vin programming into the IPC. RE: Instrument cluster - plasma - 28:th-Jun-2020 This is quite a specialist field for reprogramming clusters, have a word with @rusty . You'll probably find you'll have to ship it over to be sorted as a lot of people do. RE: Instrument cluster - Fadii13 - 29:th-Jun-2020 Ok thank you for your advice guys. I will contact him. I hope it’s gonna work. RE: Instrument cluster - Rusty2009 - 29:th-Jun-2020 Yes the need de-programming from the original car and then reprogramming to your car with an MDI and SPS. There could be an issue in that you've now played with op-com them it may have overwritten the original cars vin. This can be checked real easy with op-com. Either way it's possible but if the VIN has been wiped out it'll mean opening up the unit. RE: Instrument cluster - Fadii13 - 29:th-Jun-2020 I checked the vin number on Op-com and each IPC shows me it own vin number so I think there’s no problem with that. Is it possible that I send you my IPC so you solve the problem please ? I live in France RE: Instrument cluster - Rusty2009 - 30:th-Jun-2020 Yes of course I see I have a PM from you which I will reply to in a minute. |
