Hi Thanks, it is mate, only had it since Monday and got a lot of road noise a a droning when moving off upto 20mph, going back to dealer next week to investigate.

RE: Newbie - Jpbroad1970 - 29:th-Feb-2020

I had that on my old 1.6 5 door , changed both front wheel bearings only to find it was 2 crap cheap tyres on the front. Changed them an was quiet as a mouse after.

Funny that JPbroad1970 because when I hot it it drove smoothly and no noise, I checked tyre pressures on 3rd day and drivers side was 38, passenger side 37, driver's side rear 41 and passenger side rear 37, I put 32 in all tyres and that's when I've noticed the noise, it's very annoying moving off. Booked in on 10th march.

I would say at 37 38 over inflated and running on the centre of the tyre primarily. Taking some pressure out has evened it up possibly causing the noise. What make tyres do you have? Mine was an accelera on the NSF and sounded so much like a bearing 4 hours and £200 wasted for bearings.

RE: Newbie - niteram - 1:st-Mar-2020

I agree with the above about cheap tyres
but I've also found that Michelin tyres can be noisy

RE: Newbie - Rusty2009 - 1:st-Mar-2020

Depending on engine and tyre size.

on my 2.0cdti I run mine at full load find it gives the most MPG.

RE: Newbie - Zaf312 - 10:th-Mar-2020

Hi guys, sorry for late reply been busy with work etc, dropped car off at dealer and they have confirmed the rear tyre is out of shape hence the noise, they have ordered the tyre which will come tomorrow, not going to cost me anything as only had car 2 weeks.

RE: Newbie - niteram - 10:th-Mar-2020

thats good news, hopefully that will sort it.

RE: Newbie - Zaf312 - 14:th-Mar-2020

Hi,
They replaced it with a Nexen tyre, noise has gone, ?

RE: Newbie - Jpbroad1970 - 14:th-Mar-2020

I like nexen tyres, very underated in my experience. we sell loads through work.
