Op-com - AndyF79 - 28:th-Jul-2019 Hi guys I’ve heard various things about op-com having positive and negatives and being advised to use tech 2 or vaux-com. I’ve heard op-com isn’t always a safe system to use but wanting to get something that I had done similar to when I had a lad called Adam who unlocked features and did a full smd conversion on my astra h. What’s people’s opinions of op-com and what options can this open up on my 2011 astra Sri? I know it can be great for fault finding and reset but options wise?? Yes you can read fault codes turn on some extra menus on the IPC but really apart from that nothing more. It's all MDI & MDI2. Op-com - AndyF79 - 28:th-Jul-2019 I’m guessing not may people have these then Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Op-com - Rusty2009 - 29:th-Jul-2019 No not many do. When they cost so much it's not worth it. then there is the cost SPS time with GM. Op-com - AndyF79 - 29:th-Jul-2019 So op-com is ideal for home DIY lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Op-com - Big Dave2 - 29:th-Jul-2019 I just use my Op-Com for reading out fault codes, and resetting them on my Astra-J. Bought originally for my Vectra-C, and paid for itself the 1st time I used it. Tried it on my Astra-J 2.0 CDTi, and Op-Com thinks it's a VX 2.2 speedster if I let it automatically search for the model. Op-com - AndyF79 - 30:th-Jul-2019 Must have a special car lol. Seen plenty of opcoms on eBay etc but any particular one I should look at as don’t want a copy version that turns out when plugged in is complete bull.
