Software updates - Rusty2009 - 7:th-May-2014 My car is going in tomorrow for a software update for the headlights. The chap I spoke to is the one who I've dealt with over the auto headlights. I said I know there is a software update for the ECU as well will you apply that. He said no we only apply updates if the customer is having issues I can update the lights under warranty but nothing else. I always thought any updates were applied free of charge weather a customer complains or not? Software updates - JohnL - 7:th-May-2014 That's what I thought also. Not sure if my it's just the dealership then that I use as they always check and apply any updates when both of mine have been in. Even when they have only had it in to change the wheel under warranty. If you can read it how can you find out the latest version? If like me you have an MDI you can find what software numbers are programmed in and it will tell if there is a different software version also you can look at the technical service bulletins to see they have issued anything. |
