RE: Progress thread zdravo - zzattack - 25:th-Oct-2017 Nice work, looks pretty tidy that engine bay! RE: Progress thread zdravo - rlievens - 25:th-Oct-2017 Nice car, very shiny black in the pictures! Please come clean my engine bay, it is dirty. I even found a small dead rabbit Inside it this summer while changing a light bulb! Yuck. Was looking at thos aliexpress pedal covers as well, but I was affraid they would worn out to fast (the rubber circles) and then get slippery while wet. How do they hold up? RE: Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 25:th-Oct-2017 Yes black color is very nice looking, but pretty hard to maintain to look nice and clean. I am planing to do a proper detailing treatment for her during the winter. Fix few scratches, polish her and put proper protection on her. I have a friend who has detailing business. And I also was in detailing. So, we will make her shine I can confirm that they are not slippery at all even in the rainy days when shoes are wet. And about underhood detailing. You need 5 things. First good will and some free time (30 minutes is OK). Microfieber towel New painting brush (brush for painting metal or wood). Engine dressing (I have Meguiars ) Sent from my LG G5 SE using Tapatalk Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 4:th-Nov-2017 OK, few days ago I visited Opel service to activate parking sensors. But activation was unsucesfull. As rusty said I need a dash switch. So I got one from scrapyard. If I get some time tomorrow I will try to put it in the place, if not I will do it on monday. I hope they will properly activate it. Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 19:th-Nov-2017 OK, today I finished GID, door lock/unlock switch and put chrome footrest Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 20:th-Nov-2017 Leds arrived Light is really much brighter and whiter than before Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 21:st-Nov-2017 https://youtu.be/IY26CwrqBJA Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 12:th-Dec-2017 I got some serious registration plate light. Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk RE: Progress thread zdravo - rlievens - 12:th-Dec-2017 Are those the expensive ones? You have any pictures of the modules and resistor before you installed them? Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 12:th-Dec-2017 They are from germany. The price with shipping is about 27€ Here are the pictures Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk RE: Progress thread zdravo - rlievens - 12:th-Dec-2017 I have these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/18-LED-License-Plate-Lights-for-Vauxhall-Opel-Astra-Corsa-Insignia-Tigra-Zafira/32818620291.html Not exactly the same as yours, but offcourse very simular. Packaging even looks the same. But mine came with this little black block, which I thought was the resistor to make them OBC error free. But yours doesn't have them. Maybe I don't need them? Anybody knows why it's there? Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 12:th-Dec-2017 Mine have resistors too, but as they are white, its hard to see them. Look carefully from the inside white box shaped one, has some letters on it. And its lift above the board 3-4mm I believe because they got hot Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk RE: Progress thread zdravo - rlievens - 12:th-Dec-2017 zdravo Wrote:Mine have resistors too, but as they are white, its hard to see them. Oh ok I see, I thought it was just a sticker! Yes these aliexpress ones have a big heatsink on them so I figure they wont overheat either. I love those bright white lights, enjoy Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 16:th-Dec-2017 More chrome Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 16:th-Jan-2018 After short pause, I've done EPB switch and as I had to remove big plastic between front seats I finished foot light. Its connected to the roof light with a small jack to disconect roof light if ever needed. Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 17:th-Feb-2018 LED-s in IPC and GID are the same, SideLed type made by Osram. Here is link for mine https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.fr%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F222639698765 Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk Progress thread zdravo - zdravo - 30:th-Apr-2018 Its been a while since I didnt done anything. So, steering wheel is converted to white in 20 minutes. For those who are planing to do the same, steering wheel doesnt to be taken out, airbag also. Just turn the wheel upside, then with narrow flat screwdriver unclip airbag on one side and the other, it pops a bit. Then pull it out and put it on top of the wheel (on plastic). Silver part (plastic) you just pull out, you need use a force but also take care not to break it. Then you can unclip connectors and take out the wheel controlls. Soldering and reasembling took about 20 minutes Sent from my LG G6 using Tapatalk |
