Hello Mr. Broadhurst,

the installed Radio (EMPN: 23499778) is not released for Astra MY11.

Please order and install the EMPN 20983513 or 22776285 and program it on TIS2Web.

expected I suppose

I obviously need to program my bcm but not sure how straight forward this is , happy to give it a go if its not to complicated as I may not actually need a vci being 2011 ... I know its hit and miss

any advice would be welcome

thanks
John

I take it you currently get a theft protection message, correct?

As you understand the radio needs to be programmed for your VIN, but they won't supply a VCI because it's not a combination officially offered on the car.
Unfortunately the protection on these radios hasn't been cracked yet, as this won't be a simple EEPROM fixup.

So fixing this won't be possible in the traditional way but a good workaround is very likely possible. The only way the radio can tell whether or not it's hooked up in the correct car is by getting this information from some other component. I believe this info to originate from the Low Speed GMLAN bus. This claim is somewhat supported by the radio not showing the anti-theft screen when the IPC is disconnected. The IPC is only connected to the Low Speed GMLAN bus, so it is likely possible to 'filter' the information passed along this bus to make the radio believe it's in the correct car.

You can't fit a navi950 in your model year as it wasn't available nor even fitted at factory to any car in that year.

2011 your'd be looking for cd500 DVD800 Navi600 or Navi900.

Your BCM doesn't need programming.

I don't have theft protection message as I reprogrammed the eeprom with my chassis number, its all fully functioning ..Bluetooth as its built in , Nav and everything its just im trying to get by dab programmed in but I get the message hardware mismatch as my understanding is it thinks its still got the cd400 in it
