REGISTRATION PLATE LIGHT - Pinhead385 - 29:th-Apr-2017 Hi Guys I realise this topic has probably been done to death, but the more I read, the more confused I get ! I have a 2015 Astra GTC & am looking to change the registration plate lights to LED. I have bought online with assurances that the bulbs I'm purchasing are 'error free' with latest 'CANBUS Texhnology', only to find the inevitable 'check number plate light' warning the minute I fit them ! I know this is due to the voltage drop from the LEDs being picked up by the car & that a resistor is required to alleviate the problem. I don't know if this is allowed, but can anyone provide me with a link to a site or private seller who can provide me with LED bulbs that will 'plug & play', cause no damage & will not display any warning ? Thanks guys ! Davy RE: REGISTRATION PLATE LIGHT - Rusty2009 - 30:th-Apr-2017 Hi, I'm guessing your just using 501 bulbs? If so you would really need a set like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/License-Number-Plate-Light-Lamp-SMD-LED-CANBUS-fit-Vauxhall-Zafira-Insignia-/141265546579?fits=Model%3AAstra+GTC&hash=item20e4152d53:g:AY4AAOxy4YdTV39j |
