Diesel particle filter - Lewis6317 - 14:th-Jan-2015 ok so after getting car back think the calliper wasnt just the issue, been reading abit of on-line stuff and found some information about it the DPF. Now after so many miles some light should come on the dash to show you the car is going through a regen. Now I have done over 20,000 miles since having my car and I have never seen this light on. Should I be asking vauxhall why?? Does this DPF ever need changing? Diesel particle filter - Jonika21 - 14:th-Jan-2015 No, its ok. Light only appears when you turn off The car while regen more than 35 times Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Diesel particle filter - rambo1984 - 14:th-Jan-2015 If the light stays off then the car is working fine. The light only comes on if the cars dpf is something like 75% full Or hasn't been able to do a full regen cycle. If it does come on a good run at 2,000+rpm should trigger the dpf regen then the light should turn off Diesel particle filter - Rusty2009 - 14:th-Jan-2015 I know Vauxhall disabled the DPF light as too many people where going in with full DPFs.
