Request heated steering wheel wiring diagram - emilalexandrubarb - 19:th-Dec-2024

Hi guys, my name is Alex and I'm new to the forum.
I post there to make a kind request for anyone that has access to information.

I would like to install a heated steering wheel on a Astra J 2010 hatchback that didn't come with heated steering wheel.
My car had heated seats, bi xenon, electronic parking.
I have procured already heated steering wheel, squib for the heated steering wheel, and the central climatronic dual zone with all buttons (heated steering wheel, heated seats). My car only lacked the heated steering wheel button.
Upon investigation I have found that in the rear trunk fuse box the no 19 fuse is missing alongside the pins for the 19 fuse.
I believe the wiring between the fuse and front of the vehicle is missing too.
Considering all purchased and already installed I would like to ask for help for a wiring diagram between the rear fuse box and wherever that wire would go (directly to the squib or the climatronic module).
Any other advice is really appreciated.

I wouldn't have made an account and posted it but i couldn't find any relevant information on the internet over the past 6 months.

Do I also require a programing for the BCM?

Upon installation of the squib there was already a connector waiting (for the heated part) so I believe the connection between the squib and the climatronic module is there.

Well it is shame you've only made an account and posted to gain info.

It would be far better to at least contribute rather than just taking info this is why info isn't really sheared any more.

& I think it's a very rude and selfish attitude to have, you are happy to leech info from people who put the time & money into finding information and carry out these jobs without giving anything back.

The BCM does not require programming.

From A26 hater panel to Airbag X85x1
0.35 Brown/White
0.35 Yellow/Grey

From X53 rear fuse board to X85x3
0.75 Purple/Brown

A26 pin 4 should be brown/white This runs to back of the squib x1 pin 9
A26 pin 5 should be yellow/grey This runs to back of the squib x1 pin 10

Hi,

And thank you for approving my post, also thank you for the information shared.

Regarding the account and motivation, it is only logic one comes when in need.
I will try my best to help others in matters I have already gone through and share what knowledge I have regarding my car.

I will try to remain as active as I can in this forum!

If i manage to make this working I will do my best to try to post a how to tutorial on how to retrofit a heated steering wheel on a car that doesn't have one.

Thank you again.
