so new toy time i picked up a biturbo steering wheel
on ebay at a good price in mint as new condition
it is padded and thicker just like the VXR one and it is nice and comfortable
and a massive improvement over the standard leather one
it also has a flat bottom i am really happy with this it is so much better.

WoW what a difference the steering wheel makes
as it is thicker and softer it is a joy to use now
and it just seems to turn better now also

I've fanciesd once of these since I saw an advert for a bi turbo. At least with this you don't have to have a vxr badge. I have a thing about wrong badges on cars Haha.

I found a use one in Wolverhampton on ebay could not resist I agree with the vxr one having to remove the badge etc the biturbo one is basically the same apart from the extra chrome and badge well worth it totally transformed the feel off the drive

just got the chrome trim for the front dash speakers
still waiting on the trim for the center speaker
to arrive but the left and right ones look good
only issues i have had is that i had to change the sticky backing

i think it all depends on the trim as this steering wheel will come on other models
insignia astra etc but they tend to be on high end spec like bi turbo etc

I don't know you know... Have a gander on Auto Trader, I'm sure this is standard on the SRI which could mean a cheaper purchase price given its not a fancy model. I'm off to ebay to enquire on some broken models lol.
Nice chrome by the way, I was a little dubious at first but they look good.

just had a look around and yes looks like the new shape zafira sri spec car
does have the biturbo steering wheel but none about at the min.

i may not even fit the center chrome trim around the dash speaker now
i noticed yesterday they really do reflect on to the windscreen
i can cope with the two side ones
but as for the center trim
that will reflect in the center off the screen and it will be very annoying

You know the steering wheel... Mine doesn't have the speed limiter button at the moment but the new one does. Will it cause issues if I just plug it in or do I have to swap it?

With regards to the steering wheel, did you literally just pull your other one off using rustys tutorial and swap the airbag over? Have found one for 250 and would love it as long as it's not a hack and bodge job that need to be done.

The airbag won't blown without an electrical charge mate. Just make sure you disconnect the battery and wait 10mins

car past its mot again last week with flying colors
i took the projector headlights out the car and put the standard headlights
back in for now as i sold my projector headlights and hid kit to lewis
i may be making a mark two version but that will be after christmas
trying some new LED DRL bulbs out next week and wiring the load resistors
back in to the standard headlights will update some pics next week

well after 3 years i have sold the astra j
