RE: my insignia elite tucpal.. - tucpal - 3:rd-Mar-2016 Bit of an update on the bluespark pro boost tuning box
on the 2.0 cdti engine i have had a play about the last few days with different settings and a bit of fine tuning and i can honestly say OMG WOW very impressed with this box of tricks the overall drive has much improved and feels better all round and the pick up is now amazing basically the car is flying massive grin factor haha i need more time to see any MPG gains but time will tell with that but overall money well spent very impressed. RE: my insignia elite tucpal.. - sheppy1 - 3:rd-Mar-2016 Sweet! Glad to hear it's had such a big improvement! How much was it mate? Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk RE: my insignia elite tucpal.. - tucpal - 3:rd-Mar-2016 new the bluespark pro boost cost £279 but i found one used for the 2.0 cdti 160 for £90 so a good deal there but these tuning boxes are engine specific so you need to find one for the correct engine you have if buying used i have it set at the moment to setting D and dialed up to number 7 on the fine tune the torque is very impressive and the car pulls like a train now lots more settings to play with but that looks like a good setting with a good balance of power, torque and mpg there is some info on the bluespark box here i will give the car a dyno run when i find the best setting i am happy with and then see what i get from it at some point. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjS96a4wZ3LAhVDfA8KHT-ZAEUQFggiMAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bluesparkautomotive.com%2Fdiesel-tuning-boxes%2F3855-Vauxhall%2520(Opel)-Insignia-2.0-CDTI&usg=AFQjCNEympRkYd_aM2OG-tN66QC0koFVoQ&sig2=WXwEXceXqcm3pwpmEdjEvQ http://www.bluesparkautomotive.com/pro-plus-boost RE: my insignia elite tucpal.. - tucpal - 4:th-Mar-2016 New ignition ring cover just fitted from aliexpress uk and as usual comes posted from china haha
can not complain for £2.00 looks like it should have been there as standard. RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 5:th-Mar-2016 flyeye wrapped the front fogs on the insignia as i had some left over
that's about it all done for now until the summer then i will fit twin exhaust and side skirts and rear diffuser but for now all i have left to do is fit the reverse camera interface box but that will have to wait till next friday. RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 9:th-Mar-2016 finally everything is here so i can now install the GIVF multimedia interface box to the navi 600 on the insignia
and finally i will have the reverse camera i wanted at long last i am not bothering with the DVD or TV etc as i find that part of the box pointless and that's just not for me but i will get the box fitted on friday on my day off i will add more detail about fitting it to the how to that we have for the reverse camera over the weekend and show the results of the reverse camera on here also. RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - Kris - 10:th-Mar-2016 nice! how much was that mate? RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 10:th-Mar-2016 £200 new mate they can be picked up from the xcarlink website but baz does have one he is selling used on here much cheaper at the moment. RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 11:th-Mar-2016 ok i have Just installed the interface box at long last and i now have the reverse camera working
on the factory navi 600 made up with the interface box and reverse camera the picture quality is perfect in the day and the camera even works very well at night i will put up a how to in the how to section tomorow. ........DAY MODE....... ......NIGHT MODE...... RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - Rusty2009 - 12:th-Mar-2016 Is there no adjustment to get the angle right on the lines? RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 12:th-Mar-2016 No the camera is fixed to the number plate light as it is built in to it and the insignia bumper has a very slight angle its not to bad but I will replace it for a single mounted camera in the center of the bumper at some point but over all i am very happy with the reverse system. It works very well along with the factory parking sensors both are in sink with each other nicely RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - cornishtaz - 12:th-Mar-2016 I had this camera on my VXR and also have the same on the wifes Corsa. Very good camera for the price http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=321710615941&alt=web RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - stigeye - 12:th-Mar-2016 Cant you adjust the angle of the camera on the bumper itself, it looks as though you could pull the right hand side of the camera (as you look at it) a mil or two away from the bumper and that would move the lines to the right when viewing on the head unit. RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 12:th-Mar-2016 No its a fixed to the number plate unit its one whole unit it really is no problem I. Have another camera here I will just swap it over next week [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 12:th-Mar-2016 Problem solved i had to take the camera unit out and there were two screws holding the camera into the light unit
so i had to make a few alterations to the unit and camera angle and now the lines are straight The how to is now up for anyone who is interested. https://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-Multimedia-interface-reverse-camera-navi-600-insignia-astra-j While i was messing about with that i was not to happy with the standard 501 bulbs being back in for the number plate lights so i tried a pair of 501 LED bulbs i had lying around tested them and then i find there not on the canbus on the insignia haha so i now have LED number plate lights back in. RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - cornishtaz - 12:th-Mar-2016 Looks good [THUMBS UP SIGN] RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 12:th-Mar-2016 thanks baz and thanks for the help the other day My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - Tonto - 12:th-Mar-2016 Looks good mate, nice one about number plate bulbs too. i forgot to add an update on the bluespark pro boost i have moved the settings up to map E and adjusted it up to 7 on fine tune and i have had the settings like that for about 5 days now i am very happy with that setting total transformation and the MPG has risen and is still rising on the trip computer from 36.8 to 41.5 so very happy all round with the bluespark pro boost on the 2.0 cdti engine considering i am very heavy footed that's not to bad at all and i am sure if i actually ever bother to work out the true MPG figger it will be much better also. And thats it all done for now till august then round two begins side skirts, rear diffuser, and twin duplex exhaust. RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 25:th-Apr-2016 Hi all i have been wanting to do something for a while with the rear of the car as in spoiler wise
so looking about on the net i found an insignia in the usa the had a very good cheap answer for this i got an aftermarket BMW M3 rear spoiler for the insignia and color coded it to match the color of the car i also had to make a notch so the rear window washer will still work think it suites the insignia very well and not an over the top spolier just a subtle change. Spoiler link... But look for others as they may be cheaper on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E39-5-Series-Saloon-Rear-Boot-Spoiler-Lip-Wing-Sport-Trim-Lid-M5-UK-Seller-/171876933805?hash=item2804a9e0ad:g:UTQAAMXQlgtS2G58 Spoiler fitted and painted. RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 29:th-Apr-2016 if you look at the how to i did there is a gm res packer and unpacker and all the files needed to make whatever theme you like however i have not worked out exactly how to do it but i sort of understand it but that is done at your own risk as if you mess it up you could be in big trouble but i am always on the lookout for new links to themes that work ip insignia poland forums hold alot of info on this subject RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - raimon - 29:th-Apr-2016 (28:th-Apr-2016, 09:58:43)Rusty2009 Wrote:(28:th-Apr-2016, 09:25:10)raimon Wrote:(27:th-Apr-2016, 19:59:36)tucpal Wrote: thanks yes still loving the red carbon theme at the moment Yes that can be done. But there are hardly any decent day themes. I have looked in excess of 40 theme packages going through various website either russian or polish and nearly all of them use of them use standard day theme, and if they aren't the day theme is not that good looking. (29:th-Apr-2016, 11:02:06)tucpal Wrote: if you look at the how to i did there is a gm res packer and unpacker Yes i have modified my downloaded themes using gm packer/unpacker, making it to my liking creating transparency and adjusting their levels. I have been specializing in themes for about a year now. I have experimented in the navi firmware, if there are any hiccups in the themes or firmware files, the flashing process will kick you into bootloader mode and request the CD, so all is good. If there are anyone who wish to revert back to the standard 600 fw when they sell their car i can point them in the right direction in how to do this. I ain't just any good at photoshop that's all, so can't make my decent theme. I'm using partly paint and photoshop for some stuff lol. I have made a full carbon theme, white in the day, black at night. very nice. The other theme i like is infinity, and i have modified this so it doesn't have any infinity audio badging. And changed the startup animation. I have also modified the speed camera icon for the poi, so when it pops up on the screen it is actually a speed camera instead of a star etc. If anyone need any advice just give me a shout. Can you please send the themes for the rest of us? Do you have any animations for the Astra? Astra Sports Tourer? RE: My Insignia Elite, 2.0 CDTI. tucpal. - tucpal - 30:th-Apr-2016 Thanks raimon...
so i used your files and edited your carbon night theme and replaced it with my red carbon night theme image uli 11,, i used your white day theme instead of the blue day theme i had and as your NAV600 res files are better as my poi icons were all wrong as they had been edited to speed symbols for some reason all your poi icons were factory correct in your files so they made a better base to edit as you have v208 latest software version also did the new speedcam symbols so they are now speedcams on the map and not stars and the insignia start up animation logo shame i lost the stars in the nav display sky but i can live with that as the standard sky will do fine. START UP LOGO..... DAY MODE..... NIGHT MODE..... POI SPEED CAM MAP... So i am happy with that for now the one thing i really would like to change is the background color in standby mode from black to red so like this but with red background. standard standby logo. and i pic i found of what i wanted on the insignia forum but this was on a dvd 800 hacked unit so any info on this would be great. OR if this was the standby screen it would look very good i would love you to sort this one out. Your speedcams should appear as actual speedcameras icon when it pops up on the screen when cameras are nearby, that's if you have enable the alert. Gm packer/unpacker is easy to use and straightforward, its all about opening the correct uli to amend or to repack, save it as the correct uli name. IIRC those sky images are embedded in the other binary files which i cannot edit. Some of the poi icons are the same embedded in the binary files. |
