The guys at our local MOT station are really good, a couple of old guys who would let you know if you'd have any issues if you went in prior to your MOT. The gaffers son also owns a garage just behind the MOT centre and they are really good also, don't charge an arm and a leg and aren't trying to have your pants down whenever you go into them.

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 14:th-May-2016

I am gonna get my first MOT done with Vauxhall.. They're defo gonna fail me haha

Just put standard ones back in for the MOT lol

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 14:th-May-2016

You have to know how much of a pain those things are to change?! No chance! Ha

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - stigeye - 14:th-May-2016

I changed mine to polargs a few weeks back, a bit fiddly, to be honest the hardest part for me was getting the bulb and holder back into the light on the passanger side, but all in all it took about 20mins for a noob like me lol

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 14:th-May-2016

Oh yeah 2 are fine... I have blue, ultra bright bulbs in drl, high beam and low beams lol

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 15:th-Jun-2016

How are you getting on with the rest pedal

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 15:th-Jun-2016

It's spot on mate! Stuck on with the stuff it came with, hasn't fallen off and still looks good [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 15:th-Jun-2016

Cool, how's the astra, any mods in the pipe line?

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 15:th-Jun-2016

It's good thanks! No issues at present and still loving it! [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Well! I was going to install the aftermarket exposed exhaust tip I had but then I heard of a chap who had his hack box removed and a dual exhaust system installed which looked awesome! So I wanna do that when I get some spare cash.

Also I've got one of my silver mirror covers for the volvo style mirror swap I am going to do but still need a passenger side silver lake cover... So keeping an eye out for one [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

I'm thinking of going for am aftermarket one painted to be the colour I need... Not sure how good it would be though!

Duel back box sounds interesting, is it custom or off the shelf

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 16:th-Jun-2016

It's custom i think! Looks it anyway and it's a good price

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - bhalay207 - 20:th-Jun-2016

The spoiler makes a big difference as well

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 20:th-Jun-2016

I prefer the more discreet rdx diffuser

Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 21:st-Jun-2016

Isn't that the same spoiler as mine though?

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - marcus - 21:st-Jun-2016

Rdx has more of a scoop. Vx line too. Rdx is more pronounced compared to the vx line from what I have seen in the photos.

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 21:st-Jun-2016

I'm not keen on the rdx roof spoiler, prefer I'm scherzo roof spoiler, like what rusty has

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - stigeye - 21:st-Jun-2016

RDX all the way for me, I have the VX line spoiler and it could do with coming out just an inch or so more than it does.

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 21:st-Jun-2016

Isn't the Irmscher a bit longer than vx line, rdx has that funny bit on the end you can paint another colour, looks weird if your going just one colour

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - stigeye - 21:st-Jun-2016

The RDX is virtually no different to the limited edition spoiler for the GTC, both have the line along it where it can be a different colour. In essence the RDX looks more like a GM product than the Irmscher. The only difference in this case is that you can choose to colour code the RDX spoiler to match the car which I believe looks better.

Yeah you'd get it looking clean! I love the double D exhausts. I had them on my Corsa C

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - stigeye - 22:nd-Jun-2016

I removed the 'ASTRA' and '2.0 CDTI' from the tailgate last night, next is the wiper delete and 'SRI' removed from under the side repeaters.

Forgot to mention, the RDX spoiler is about half the price of the Irmscher spoiler.

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 22:nd-Jun-2016

The Irmscher spoiler is expensive, most things are, take the amazing steinmetz badgers grill, that looks awesome but It's cheaper to get an android head unit lol

Looking forward to seeing the pics of your car stigeye

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 5:th-Jul-2016

Been on holiday the past few weeks but later this week I have a pair of silver lake mirror covers to install to go with the silver/chrome and grey look I have going on and also the dab module at home and ready to install for the M072 unit [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 5:th-Jul-2016

have you gone for the usb dab module from icebeat?

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 5:th-Jul-2016

I have yeah... Gonna try and stash the Ariel behind the glove box as I've been told it will still work.

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 5:th-Jul-2016

cool,

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - bhalay207 - 5:th-Jul-2016

Do you have to use that giant aerial?

Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 5:th-Jul-2016

Yeah you do. The Ariel is the module, that goes into any usb port running from the unit and then that's it... Open the dab app and it works.

I don't see how that being behind the dash is going to give a solid reliable signal.

I'm abit disappointed with this option

Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk

RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - mrtc - 7:th-Jul-2016

im even more disaapointed, the other option, the 135 pound nurvell dab receiver has gone out of production due to not working lol

Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 7:th-Jul-2016

Will see how I get on with hiding it ha. May be okay... But yeah it's crap really as not sure where they really expected people to pit it being that the cable ain't even that long! Was it ideally supposed to live on the dash or something?!

Have these to fit when it stops raining too

im tempted with the whole hydro dipping at the mo, i know it would be soo expencive but imagine a astra with all its black trim in carbon fibre, would be awesome

Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 7:th-Jul-2016

What actually is Hydro dipping? Also mirror covers done [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] what ya all think?
