Oil sump nut size. - everson38 - 10:th-Jan-2018 Hey guys Just a quick one. Have a astra J 1.7 gtc diesel. Does anyone know what size socket is need on the sump nut to drain oil. But use a six sided 13mm socket and not a multipoint socket as the sump plugs can be tight and you don't want it slipping and if yours isn't a nut and is a torx it will be a T45 but mine was a hex head so was a 13mm socket will be either or.
