I’ve just put led lights in with a resistor but getting a check plate lights on the dash, anyone know why?

Faulty resistor or it isn't big enough as it needs to fool the canbus into thinking there is a load there equivalent to 2x 5w 501 bulbs.

It’s not showing now, I was getting error message when switching to side lights, but when the car is running I don’t get any errors
