Thought I'd do one..... It's not going to be quite on the same level as some of the other cars on here but to me, buying and hanging a little tree air freshener is an upgrade......

So I bought an Astra 1.6 SRI

First thing I wanted to do was change the alloys so I bought the diamond cut ones you see on GTC's, BiTurbos and Zafira Tourers.

They were quite badly curbed as you can see

So had to get them refurbed...... Which cost an arm and a leg

They'd done a really good job in the end so was worth the cost and look a lot better than the 17" ones I had on

Next thing was changing the centre dash trim. Mine had a slight scratch on it so I wanted to change it but ended up buying the wrong trim. Mine is metallic silver and I'd bought the dull silver one.

Then I found a darker coloured trim wish I liked and stuck with that.

Ended up with quite a few. Ha.

I'm still after the gloss black one though.....

Next was one of the most complicated of all car upgrades.……number plates. Had to think long and hard about doing this on my own, sleepless nights and everything.

Mine were a bit tatty and the front plate sticked out at the ends due to it being screwed in

So decided to stick the on..... Revolutionary I know.

They no longer stuck out at the ends

Then I bough the VXR pedals

Which look loads better

See I'm not lying

Next was smoked repeaters

And it now looks like this

  Is there a secret menu?
Posted by: Andrewproctor - 24:th-Jun-2015, 10:24:14 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (8)

Hi,

I seem to remember when I had a Corsa D there was a menu you could open so you could put the headlights on when the car got unlocked? Or rear wiper turns on when in reverse?

Is this the case on the Astra gtc 2015 or have I completely made that up. (It was three years ago)

Thanks.

Posted by: Nickmagicfingers1981 - 21:st-Jun-2015, 13:07:51 - Forum: Detailing - Replies (8)

Well had a couple of spare so thought I'd give it a quick clean.

Hoovered it out and treated the seats
[Image: 7747f98a749981606d9bbfb25e39c4dd.jpg]

Gave the wheels a good wash with wheel cleaner and treated with Autoglym wheel sealant.

Washed it and then used autoglm aqua wax.

Then treated all the windows with wolf chemicals glass sealant.

So who is up for a meet at the Lake District later this year, I know October has been mentioned but open to suggestions. Also where abouts in the Lakes would be best to meet?

Leave your name if interested.
