Tailgate Stuck Shut and wont unlock HELP
Posted by: luvie - 9:th-May-2018, 13:10:43 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (5)

Hey all,
Wonder if any of you can help us,
We had a little trouble with the tailgate not closing so i cleaned up the mechanism and sprayed it etc and it worked perfect for a few months, now its stuck shut.
The central locking is working fine except you cant hear the click in the tailgate, I checked the fuse and its fine.
I have all the plastics and trim off and for the life of me I cannot find the switch to open it manually.
Can any of you kind souls help.
TIA

Posted by: lacesoutdom - 8:th-May-2018, 16:30:15 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (3)

hi all, first time post

i placed something, quite small, on top of the slider by the gear stick, and my partner opened the slider and it slid down the back and has never returned!

Is there an easy was to gain access to this, if not easy, then any way at all to open it up?

Suggestions welcome!

Cheers!

  Iluminated Gear Stick
Posted by: marktourino - 5:th-May-2018, 19:13:15 - Forum: Request for information - Replies (11)

Hi

I have purchased an iluminated gear stick which have a brown & red wire, I presume that the red wire is "live" & the brown wire is "earth" I was wondering if the gear stick could be wired into the gear gaitor amberance light wiring which would save routing the wires into the light switch below the dash, any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

Mark

Been told my headlamps are rubbish, gutting after 2 years of owning them!

So after a pair of second hand genuine headlamps that will fit a Facelift 5-door Astra J hatch! Preferably with DRL and motors please?? Don't want to pay £600 for brand new ones!!!

  Car struggles through emissions test
Posted by: Jake - 2:nd-May-2018, 18:44:57 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (7)

Hello there,
Every time I’ve taken my Astra for an MOT, its striggled to pass the emissions test, its only
Due to the fact that my tester is persistent and tries a handful of times before making it barely scrape through.

Car doesnt have a decat and is otherwise standard, 1.4 Turbo (140hp), is there a way i can resolve this? If for whatever reason I had to go elsewhere, it would fail every time!

Posted by: Jhill7168 - 29:th-Apr-2018, 12:33:10 - Forum: Vauxhall General - Replies (2)

Hi guys, after a bit of advice / opinions I was wondering how to improve the look of my alloys without having to get them resprayed I was planning of getting them done black but then I seem some on a white car and really didn't like the look of them, I am considering repainting my calipers blue and possibly spraying the Bolt caps white to match the rimblades but don't no about anything else? Anyone got any suggestions? [Image: d8622471086b6fe737601bdf22265f5d.jpg]
