Hi Guys,
I have fuel gauge which is fluctuating and some time it tells you the tank is low in fuel and sometime it is showing fuel gauge it is on ¼ tank, so I get warning sign low in fuel sometimes.

Sometimes if the tank is less than half full or even ¼ full and if you have parked half on the footpath and half on the road, after a bit it may show the tank looks empty, as soon as you drive it might go back to ¼ tanks display.

If I have my half tank and over the gauge there is no issue, as soon it drops below half or near ¼ tank then it is showing low in fuel or sometime showing normal fuel level .

I was told by the mechanic I need to take the tank off and need to replace the FUEL SENDER UNIT Part number 13272601. I don’t know if my car has the Float, which may need replacing ?

He did not check the car, but he is saying this is common for these cars for this part to go maybe due to rust or keeping the tank low in fuel.

Some said you need to change the Fuel Pump as well I don’t know if this built into the tank or it is on the Engine side.

Your replies appreciated.
What's the reg I can look up parts for you.

I would expect a change a fuel level if parked at an angle.
