Hi
I bought a 13 reg Astra J 1.7 diesel 3 years ago & I need a new battery..
Is it a straight swap in & out or are there any nuances I need to know before I change? Alarm/door lock/anti theft etc etc
I dont know if my car has a stop start system because it never worked but would not surprise me if it had it?
Is there any way of know whether a car has stop/start system or not
cheers
Battery should be straight in straight out.
Mine was,
Should say auto stop I believe on the rev counter

Thanks for info....
No codes etc required you will have to reset the time and favourite's etc on the radio.
Make sure car is unlocked when changing the battery.
As John said if you have stop/start you will have auto stop on the rev side of the cluster, you will also have an eco button on the dash.
I can reccomend Varta for S/S systems. I have been using one 3 years nie and so far it is trouble free.
I had the battery go on my Cascada 2.0 cdti recently so went to Halfords as they were less than half the price of Eurocarparts even after discount complete with a 5 year warrantee. I'm glad I got them to fit it as a few things had to be removed to get the battery out!
I didn't have to reset anything, even the radio stations etc were saved.

There should have been a message popped up on the odometer display giving details of how to reset the one touch windows, which do require resetting after a power interruption.
