Hello

I get a SvS fault when I start the car. I used a multimeter to measure the resistance of the glow plugs and one was not working, so I am betting the SvS is a faulty glow plug.

Will the electric current overload the 3 working ones, so they will fail soon? So I need to replace all of them asap? And will a car with 3/4 working glow plugs start fine in really cold weather like -15 Celsius?

In my opinion if one fails it won't dress the others it will just mean 1 cylinder is not preheating.

If you have a failed glow plug it will be more difficult to start the colder it gets.

If 1 has failed it's likely the others will do soon too but they could last a fair while longer. The best practice is to replace all 4 but as you have 2 pressure ones and 2 standard ones that won't be cheap.
