How do you remove the leather part or did you just place whole thing?
i never removed the leather part if you are after red stitching
just use a fabric dye pen works just as well
but will only work on leather don't dye stitching on fabric.

you can also restitch it with out removing the stitching
i will show you how tomorrow if you want.

have a look through this

Was after white stitching as mine is black. Can see you can get them on eBay and handbrake covers to match.

Can you post a link to the pen you used to change the stitching colour please
I did this mod' of changing the colour under the numbers to white . I must admit , I found it very awkward to get the little chrome surround off without marking it . I'll probably be replacing it now at some point as it is marked but I suspect Vx will want silly money for it. .
My number trim is marked. Where can i get a replacement trim without buying the whole stick? Do you have anh part numbers?

What did you use to get the chrome bit out of the leather? A small screwdriver or a plastic trim tool? Worried about damaging the leather but aswell as the chrome
a small screw driver but it is very easy to damage the leather
