Hi all

How’s everyone?

I’m new to VXOC but not new to this world of enthusiasts.

I’ve been with ***** for some time (astra owners club) with my mk5 sri xp.

I’ve been away for years and now back with my grey 5 dr astra j 1.6 Sri. Just purchased yesterday so waiting for collection.

Looking to do subtle nice mods but nothing drastic as it’s also my wife’s daily family car. I drive my company car but want to give it that individuality touch.

Any suggestions?

Subtle mods - rear window tint, black out front grill, Eibach lowering springs to reduce body roll per those 19” wheels. May want to leave wheels in silver. A gun metal finish would take away the contrast considering the car’s colour.

Mods sound ideal type to do.
The grill should it be Matt or gloss black finish?

Yeah I have thought about the colour of wheels as they do contrast well with the car and give it that edge look. May just get them refurbed.

Any other suggestions welcome

I’d go for gloss black on the grill. If you’re going to lower the car, some side skirts would add a nice touch. Putting some meat on it.

Trying to keep my eye out for gm skirts but rare as hell.

Rear skirt is popular, and front is hard to find

Rare and expensive. Got cheap ones off eBay but I’m looking to change them as they’re too flat. Need something that protrudes a bit at the rear.
