I'm gertting a knocking noise from the front right. Think it could be the drop link.

When people swap them out do they use OEM parts or is there a more heavy duty one thats less likely to fail?

There are metal ones around.

I would avoid pattern parts if you are keeping the car longer than a year, the OEM do last a long time.

Whiteline make a metal version, but not cheap.
