Hi, apologies if this has been asked before but i cant find any treads about it. I have a 2010 Astra J which recently had battery problems. I had to jump start car recently before replacing the battery. After jump starting it the radio and display stopped working along with the indicators working but with no sound?? I have checked wiring behind radio and display along with all the fuses but can't find anything wrong? I have searched online but can only find a Youtube video in which another person has the same problem but no remedy? If anyone could point me to a tread about this or has any ideas as to a remedy i would be grateful. Thanks

The jump technique you used might have upset the canbus network.

Did you follow the correct procedure in the handbook?

Try disconnecting the battery for ½ hour or so to allow the car's brain to reset. You'll have to program the elec windows afterwards - instructions in thehandbook, but you won't need a code for the stereo.
Hi Big_Dave2,
Thanks for the reply and the info ??
Didn't know there was a correct procedure for jump starting, I should have checked the hand book for that one, thanks for the heads up.
I'll give the battery disconnect a go and let you know how it goes.

Thanks again for the reply, much appreciated.
Disconnected battery for 1hr+ but no joy. Probably fried something when jump starting the car? Have car booked into main dealer for next Wednesday hopefully they can sort it and it won't cost an arm and a leg...

Thanks for your help.

Hello
Have the same issue, but I didn't have weak battery. Did You fix it and what was the problem?
Thanks in  advance
this probably doesn't help,
but
I jumped my tourer quite a few times (with a jump pack) before I finally got a new battery
I've never had the radio fault as described above and my indicators were always quiet (strangely they started clicking loudly after Rusty coded the radio for DAB and rear camera)

There is a setting for warning sounds low or high. check that setting.
