I don't think anyone will share that info. Some of us have worked very hard working it all out. You also if you didn't know need to be able to program it.

so i had a go at fitting ....got the radio / satnav working but radio ariel not good and non of the stearing wheel controls work....is this because of programming????

Did you do the rewiring?
Poor signal/controls shouldn't be down to programming.

I take it your dab signal is bad also.
I had that on my old elite.
One off the changes you make shuts off power
To the aerial amplifiers.

tbh the signal on the cd400 was rubbish but i get nothing when i fitted the cd500 in the car...when i bench tested with a old ariel it was fine on fm but really wanted dab on the new cd500 ....is the dab i have able to work on the cd500 or do i need to do something else ???? and how would i put power back to the dab??? thanks mal

Like I say I had same when I fitted 950 the fm and dab have powered amps and when you change one of the wires it cuts power to them amps. I can't remember pin. To add dab officially you would need vci to add dab.

Pin 43 is the remote signal wire which supply's power to said aerials.

hi. i am just new here. and try to upgrade my CD400 to CD500 Navi in insignia. But my first problem that the original connector to center control console have only 4 wire but the new one for CD500 have connector with 8 wires ??
can any one please advise how to rewire the CD500
