So what happened to the Astra-I?
I'm sure I read somewhere that they never use the letter I in the models. Can't remember the reason and can't find the information I read either :(

Think I heard the same a while back
I've emailed VX so it'll be good to see what they say.
Got a reply from Vauxhall will post it later once I'm at the desktop.
but the I could be confused with a 1 so they went to J.
Here is the replay from Vauxhall.

I have forwarded your enquiryonto our Brand department and they have advised that the letter I could beconfused with a number one this is why they went straight to the Astra J.

Okay , we are currently on the Astra MK6 , also known as the J . However , J is the 10th letter of the alphabet which means , there are other letters unaccounted for . Am I right ?
I did assume that the omission of the I was due to confusion with 1 , as I isn't used on registrations for similar reasons . .
A to E were used for the Kadet by Opel
