Despite the kids/Mrs using it as a taxi. lol.

The previous owner takes most of that credit, as we only got her October last year with only had 11.5k on the clock.

Although my 9 year old has put a dent in the boot lid and a small tear in the roof lining Banghead Swear
Just finish messing with the front lights about an hour ago.

Replaced the standard DRL's with PIAA extreme white bulbs.
And upgraded dipped beam to Philips Racing Vision bulbs..

Haha, I did that. At least it becomes more useable for the service manual booklet.

I was a cheapskate and made my own shelf.

That's cool. I don't have the patients for something like that.

It didn't take me long. OK, it doesn't look as good as the factory one, and I made it from some material we had left lying around in the scraps bin in the workshop at work. I drew up a cardboard template and then transferred it onto the material and cut it out. filing it the final shape was the time consuming bit.

I wasn't sure I'd like a shelf there, hence the DIY approach first. Was contemplating buying the proper one if it turned out ok, but I'm quite happy with the one I made.

I'll try and take a couple of pics sometime.

That’s a great price, I would have gone the same route but there weren’t any when I was after one

I'd been looking for a while before I found this one. Couldn't justify a new one at £150.
Took advantage of the good weather and fitted some VXR indicator surrounds and smoked side repeaters...

That’s another thing on my ever growing list but as usual with genuine Vauxhall parts they’re pretty pricey! Best I’ve found so far is £52
Need them though I think.

Maybe next weekend mate. Got to pick the Mrs up from work in a bit. lol
Passed 2nd M.O.T on Friday with no advisories!
Always great when they pass with flying colours, still no BI-Turbo wheel fitted?

Not yet mate, it's still on the 'to do' list. lol
After the frustration of not getting my new headlights fitted, I got some new tyre valves instead...

Whats up with the headlights?
(4:th-Nov-2018, 10:04:04)Rusty2009 Wrote: [ -> ]Whats up with the headlights?

Nothing really.
I couldn't find anyone local to fit them and people kept telling me it was a easy job, so I decided to have a go myself. Unfortunately without a set of ramps or a decent jack I couldn't get under the car to remove the retaining bolts and remove the bumper.  So after about 3hrs of struggling in the cold I gave up and fitted the tyre valves instead.

Cheers Rusty. Definitely up for that mate, would be great. Probably be in the new year now with Xmas coming up, but I would totally appreciate it.
