VXOC Astra-J/GTC

Hello guys!

Since some time i found out aliexpress sells some car systems for my Opel Astra J.
Since that time im thinking all the time if i should buy this system yes or no. Because i don't know the quality of the systems i still have doubts, so thats why i put some questions here.

Does any bought their system from aliexpress? 
If yes, everything ok with this? Still working after some time?

I would like to buy this one:

Android 2GB ram system

Hope people can give me some advice to do it, or to leave it.

For sure you should go with the newer PX5/MTCD system. They're a lot faster and operate much smoother.
There's really only one company that makes these for opel/vx named witson iirc.
Also this is only plug and play if you have a cd300/cd400 system. Higher end systems aren't as easily replaced.

Iceboxauto in the UK has a good selection for the astra J. I have the m072 which is great. The newer Android 6 one has better hardware.

I bought one from Sinosmart (from Aliexpress). It was with Windows CE ,but I have problem in winter , he don't want to start up until warm indoor the car. I returned and give me the money back.

With the android head unit are you still able use the standard CD player/unit or will that need to be replaced also? Thanks.

From what I understand, the standard head unit remains and operates as before. It's just the display that gets replaced.

No that'll be replaced also!

It depends some units for sale keep the factory box others its all replaced.

Now that the guys over at XDA have some custom firmware for the PX5 systems that's the one I'm going to get eventually.

The newer one is faster and uses Android 6. Not sure what the custom OS support is like?
