Hi,

I live in the West Mid's and I've recently been thinking about getting my car re-mapped.

However, I've read online that because the 2.0 CDTI unit in my 14 plate Tourer has S/S the ECU has to be completely removed and sent away to get reprogrammed which usual takes a couple of days. Unfortunately, as the car is in constant use this just isn't an option.

So, does anyone know whether this is still the case and can anyone recommend anyone in my area who can do the remap?

Thanks
Yes the ecu does need to be removed on this vehicle but a proper remapper should be able to do it on site if they have the right tools.

@Marcus01 Thanks for the reply mate. I guess it's a case of finding the right re-mapper then? Any suggestions?
Sorry, Im over in Ireland. Tried to have my car done here but the lad didn't have the very latest ktag tools so couldn't do it in the end. 2.0 Cdti s/s ecu is one of the difficult ones to update so you need the right tools.

Try CC Tuning in Burton on Trent as they did my 2.0 CDTi s/s on a rolling road just over a year ago. She's standard apart form the remap and managed to get 201 bhp, can't remember the torque figure.

Awesome mate thanks. I'll give them a buzz when I get a bit of cash.
I've got a Gtc 2.0 cdti  s/s. Got a stage 1 remap done last September by Torquetronix in Kells. Co. Antrim. Really pleased with the results. 207bhp. Absolute rocket in 3rd and 4th gear. Huge increase in torque, can't remember exact figure. Fuel economy is roughly the same or slightly better than standard. Engine can take more power but because there's an issue with the flywheel on cars with F40 gearbox, they said 207bhp was safest level. £300 all in. Well worth it.
