hi, i have paid for my m072 today from icebox auto, and am getting it fitted 3rd may!, was just wondering i can see from the pictures of it that it has 2 sd card slots one that says gps and one that says sd.
Does the one that says gps come with the unit for the maps as it is advertised as coming with maps on the website?
And secondly the other sd card slot i presume is for storing music? but is there a maxium size sd card it can read as i have just ordered a 16gb sd card off ebay to put music onto for it?
any help appreicated thanks
The original m072s came with what I think was a cracked version of iGO already installed. I think they have stopped supplying them like this? I think you might need to install Igo via the SD card. Newer m072 model has ipod interface as well.
Personally, I use Google maps. I have sygic too but the search capability isn't that great. Have tried waze and here maps but prefer google over the lot of them.

Cool. Be warned, if you install the kotix rom, igo folder will be wiped so save the igo folder and restore it afterwards. I lost igo and it's pretty decent tbh. I could probably get it working if I had the urge...

Cheers mate. Pretty happy with how it is for the minute to be honest so I'm in no hurry to change it yet.

It's a great piece of kit for the cost... Yeah a couple of quirks here and there...

32gb works fine. And from reading through the posts you can get 64gb working by formatting it differently. So 16gb will work fine.

When I ordered (February) no navigation software was installed.
Currently have a 32GB card that works fine but I'd warn you against using microSD cards in an adapter as I had lots of issues doing it that way.

You can use a 32gb card max. Tried other cards and they just don't work.

thanks guys, if mine does not come with the maps where do you get them from, it does say on a youtube demo video it comes with preloaded maps but just incase???
You can load any nav app from the Google play Store. You can also program the fav button to set the default nav app. Mine is set to Google maps. I believe igo is still shipped as the default nav app.

And yeah I use a 32 gig SD card aswell. No issues. Just make sure it is a class 10 one.

So finally got my unit fitted today got to say it looks good in the car the fitter from icebox Auto was brilliant took him less than an hour my radio won't scan for stations so he said he's gona fit a signal booster or something to fix that, uploaded a few pics of it incase anyone hasn't seen them properly, HD screen is brilliant an he installed Satnav on it for me, overall made up with it for the price, uploaded a better pic on instagram if anyone wants to see it
@jhill7168
They need to sort this tuner issue out for all of their m072's as there are numerous people who say the reception is terrible.
They said to me it's only really on the astra gtc they have the issue with not the standard astra j bit odd never use the radio anyways but there gona sort it
Most 5-door owners have had the issue.
My 5 door was fine. 2.0cdti 2012 with bog standard cd400 no bluetooth, no dab etc.

I got igo maps working again on the kotix rom. I have it running off the GPS card slot.

Yeah I did have the iGo working off the Internal memory at first (user partition) but................. the default music player (NewMusic) must have found the direction sound clips from iGo and started playing them between other songs when I was using random play. ::Wrecked my head..... Decide to use the SD card instead but I will probably move it to the root partition..
